Our Commitment
Sustainability at FAMAX
We hold ISO 14001:2015 environmental management certification and are a Sedex member with a completed SMETA 4-pillar audit. Sustainability runs through how we use water, energy and materials, how we report our emissions, and how we invest in our people and community.
Environment
In-House Environmental Initiatives
Water
- Rainwater harvesting to reduce our use of mains water
- Air-conditioner condensate collected to water plants on site
- Coolant, oil and water separation and filtration, so machine coolant can be reused
Clean air
- Industrial oil-mist collectors to extract oil mist, vapour and fumes from the production floor
- Dust collectors on buffing and automatic sandblasting machines
Energy
- Inverter air compressor
- Electric-powered forklifts
- Energy Star rated air conditioners, monitors and laptops, and energy-saving displays
